Camper Drop-Off and Pick-Up
At Mountain Camp Woodside, we work hard to make camper drop-off and pick-up as safe, smooth, and efficient as possible for families. Our curb-side system allows campers to be checked in and out quickly without parents needing to park or leave their vehicles.
New for 2026
For 2026, we have updated the traffic route through campus to improve traffic flow and safety during peak drop-off and pick-up times. The curb-side process itself remains the same, but families will follow a new driving route through the Woodside Priory School campus. Please click here for a short video on our Drop-Off and Pick-Up process.
New Traffic Route
- Enter campus via Gambetta Lane near the Alpine Road and Portola Road intersection.
- Drive through the middle of the Priory School campus.
- Turn onto Priory School Drive for camper drop-off and pick-up.
- During camp arrival and dismissal times, Priory Drive becomes EXIT ONLY to help keep traffic moving safely and efficiently.

Camper Drop-Off
Curb-Side Drop-Off
Our drop-off process is designed to be quick and easy:
- Parents remain in their vehicles.
- Staff members assist campers out of the car and check them into camp.
- No parking or walking campers in is necessary.
Day Camp Placards
Families will receive a personalized Day Camp Placard by email the weekend before their session begins.
- Please print the placard in landscape format.
- Placards help staff quickly identify campers during both drop-off and pick-up.
Staggered Drop-Off Times
To help reduce traffic congestion, we use staggered drop-off times by camper group.
The staggered drop-off times are:
- Incoming K to 1st graders: 8:50am – 9:10am
- Incoming 2nd & 3rd graders: 8:50am – 9:10am
- Incoming 4th & 5th graders: 9:10am – 9:25am
- Incoming 6th and up including CITs: 9:10am – 9:25am
- If you are dropping off siblings or carpooling, please pick the best time that works for you.
The pick-up times are:
- Incoming K & 1st graders: 3:00pm – 3:15pm
- Extended Cub Camp: 4:15pm – 4:25pm
- Incoming 2nd & 3rd graders: 4:15pm – 4:25pm
- Incoming 4th & 5th graders: 4:20pm – 4:30pm

- If you are picking up siblings or carpooling, please pick the best time that works for you.
Camper Pick-Up
Standard Pick-Up
The pick-up process works similarly to drop-off:
- Have your Day Camp Placard clearly displayed.
- Staff will radio ahead so your camper is ready when you arrive.
- Campers are picked up at the same curb-side location where they were dropped off.
Car Seats
If your camper needs assistance with a car seat or booster seat:
- Please pull forward to our designated “Car Seat Area” before buckling them in.
- This helps keep traffic moving for the families behind you.
Multiple Camper Pick-Up
Families with multiple campers are welcome to pick everyone up at whichever camper’s assigned time works best for them.
Walk-Up Pick-Ups
For safety and traffic flow reasons, we ask families to avoid walk-up pick-ups whenever possible.

Need to pick up your camper early? No problem.
