Resident Camp Information

Resident Campers begin their days with breakfast at 8am. There is a hot option available as well as a cereal bar, toast, fresh fruit and yogurt.

After breakfast, campers meet on the field where they connect with their age group, discuss the day and play a variety of sports and games.

Structured activities begin with "Round Up", a fun all-camp time to sing songs, make announcements and gear up for a fun day. Campers will then spend the first period of the day doing a special activity with their age group. This gives them a chance to try something new in a group setting where they are both familiar and comfortable.

After group time, campers rotate through four "Free Choice" activities that they will focus on throughout the week. Campers are able to pick their "Free Choice" activities on the first day of camp. Focusing on activities gives campers a chance to have plenty of time doing the activities they love and the opportunity to learn skills in a given area. Campers are escorted to and from activity areas and all activities are taught by counselors with experience teaching that particular activity. With over 22 activities to choose from, your campers will have plenty of choices!

Lunch takes place after the first "Free Choice" activity. A hot lunch option is always available as well as a sandwich bar, a salad bar, a baked potato station and a pasta option. There are plenty of choices for vegetarians and we are able to accommodate some dietary restrictions.

After lunch, campers get together for a ¬İshort "Group Time" relaxing out of the sun, playing games, spending time with their camp group and counselors and recouping their energy for a busy afternoon. The afternoon offers two more "Free Choice" activities after which, campers meet up with their age groups and eat a healthy snack.

At the end of the day, all of the age groups will then make their way back to the field to do a fun, "All-Camp Activity" such as capture the flag or "angleball," a Mountain Camp Woodside specialty.

Resident Campers eat dinner together and then participate each night in a special evening program. Programs may include: Camp Fires, Dances, Karaoke Night, Skit Night, Bingo, Casino Night, Color Wars, Night Hikes, Sleep Outs, Moonlight Pool Parties and much more!

Sessions

Mountain Camp Woodside offers a number of one-week sessions throughout June and July. Resident Camp Sessions run from Sunday to Saturday.

Click here for a link to our dates and rates. The majority of our campers stay for two weeks or more and many of our resident campers come for four to seven weeks.

We offer different, special activities to ensure each week is new and exciting for all campers. Campers enrolled in multiple weeks are welcome to stay between sessions and we typically plan fun, out-of-camp activities to explore the natural area around us.
